acupressure and assisted stretching.

acupressure and assisted stretching.

This treatment, often known as ‘Lazy yoga’ incorporates principles of Shiatsu, Reflexology and Yoga. It is performed with the client fully clothed and on a soft mat on the floor. Deep pressure follows the body's natural energy flow using a combination of rhythmic acupressure, deep assisted stretches and relaxing body rocking techniques. It is designed to encourage tensions to dissolve and fresh blood around the body. Usually a Thai massage will be long and slow in order for the client to really benefit. The client is advised to wear leggings or loose comfortable clothing. If required, the client may want a more thorough back massage. In this case, oil or cream can be used on the back.

a combination of oil based massage

Perfect for anyone who prefers a lighter pressure and generally struggles to relax. It is most commonly used for inducing relaxation to body and mind and improving circulation. This treatment begins with some breathing work in order to promote deep relaxation to the nervous system. The movements are very slow and rhythmic throughout in order to maintain a calm and gentle experience. Deeper pressure can be applied if the client wishes or requires but generally the flow is gentle and relaxing.

The same principle as Swedish massage but the movement is slower and deeper. This particularly favours tense and tight muscles or those who are experiencing pain or require attention to be paid to old injuries.

What makes these treatments "fusion" orientated, is where techniques applied will depend on the needs of your body or specific request. I am happy to discuss your needs prior to treatment.
